This Small Business Association (SBA) program helps small business owners grow their companies by making them eligible for federal contract award set-asides, lower bid competition, as well as access to their Mentor-Protégé Program.
Emmaty is proud to maintain a HubZone Certification. The Historically Underutilized Business Zone program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. Requirements include having a primary office and at least 35% of employees reside in a qualified HUBZone area. This designation is very important to us and helps Emmaty to cultivate our strong bond with the community.
Emmaty is thrilled to be a part of the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) federal contract program, which is designed to provide greater access to federal contracting opportunities for WOSBs. Specific contracts are set aside for certified companies in the program which allows contractors to achieve their goal of 5% of their federal contracting funds being awarded to WOSBs.
Being a Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) certified company is something Emmaty takes great pride in. This certification validates that our company is 51% owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. This certification also connects women-owned businesses with major corporations to facilitate beneficial business opportunities.
